As information technology deepens and new IT technologies such as cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence develop, IT systems have become a core competitive advantage for enterprises. Consequently, IT operations (Ops) that ensure safe, efficient and stable system operation have attracted increasing attention.

The 2019 Operations Conference, guided by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and the China Communications Standardization Association and organized by the Cloud Computing Standards and Open Source Promotion Committee (TC608), was held on December 26, 2019 in Beijing. At the conference the industry’s first "Enterprise IT Operations Development Whitepaper (2019)" was officially released.

The whitepaper, written from an enterprise perspective, systematically reviews the development and application status of IT operations, defines its value, and details the key capabilities of IT Ops.
