Tencent Cloud Container Service Becomes Early Member of CNCF Certified Kubernetes Conformance Program

On November 13, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) announced the launch of the Certified Kubernetes Conformance Program in San Francisco and released the list of the first 32 certified Kubernetes platforms. Tencent Cloud Container Service (CCS) became one of the inaugural members of this conformity program.

Over the past three years, Kubernetes has become the mainstream container scheduling platform, with increasing adoption by enterprises and developers. The launch of the Certified Kubernetes Conformance Program ensures that certified Kubernetes products offer consistency and portability, allowing the full Kubernetes API to operate as specified, providing users with a seamless and stable experience through currently certified products and platforms.

“The Certified Kubernetes Conformance Program gives organizations confidence to run workloads on these certified Kubernetes distributions or platforms, as this certification ensures that those workloads will function correctly on any other version of Kubernetes,” said Dan Kohn, Executive Director of CNCF. “Kubernetes promises a single open-source software stack from many different vendors that can be deployed on any public, private, or hybrid cloud, and the interoperability assured by this certification program is essential to fulfilling that promise.”

As a CNCF gold member and the largest domestic provider of Kubernetes-based container services with the largest KVM cluster scale in China’s public cloud, Tencent Cloud has been committed to delivering better products and solutions, enhancing user cloud experience, and maintaining consistency, portability, reliability, and upgradability of user cloud businesses. The Kubernetes Software Conformance Certification is a critical component in ensuring stable operation of customer workloads on Tencent Cloud Container Service.

Tencent Cloud Container Service provides a container‑centric solution that addresses development, testing, and operations challenges, reduces enterprise costs, improves efficiency, supports direct invocation of the Kubernetes API, and offers CBS, CLB and other plugins built on Kubernetes. Built on Tencent Cloud’s private network, its container networking delivers high reliability and performance. Large enterprises such as Wall Street Snippets, Xiaohongshu, Sany Heavy Industry, SNGAPM, and Shanghai Zhangjin have already been running their business modules stably on the Tencent Cloud container platform.
