The Risk Control Department's 618 shopping festival preparation began in April, with multiple weekly meetings to develop comprehensive battle plans. The department provides risk control identification services across multiple touchpoints including registration, login, coupon redemption, orders, and after-sales to ensure fair and just transactions for retail businesses.

Key preparation milestones include: mid-April system capacity expansion estimates, early May resource deployment completion, mid-May contingency plan design and review, end of May system and full-linkage stress testing, and ensuring all drills are completed by May 31st. The department conducted over 500 contingency plan designs and reviews, and more than 20 system and full-linkage stress tests to handle traffic volumes potentially several times higher than previous years.

During the festival, the department implements 7×24 hour continuous monitoring with rotating on-duty staff to detect, handle, and report system issues immediately.
