Recap of Elastic Community Technical Salon: Cluster Management, Multi‑Tenant Practices, and Search Platform Engineering

On April 27, Youzan Technology partnered with the Elastic Chinese community to host a themed technical salon under a "starry sky" concept, bringing together experts from companies such as Ant Financial, Getui, and Haipai Ke to share practical experiences with Elasticsearch.

The event featured four main talks:

01. Elasticsearch Large‑Cluster Management and Proxy Mode – Presented by Zhu Mingzhi (Getui). The speaker described how Getui split a massive ES cluster using a Proxy pattern to resolve performance and stability issues, outlining a mature technical practice.

02. Multi‑Tenant ES Cluster Practices at Ant Financial – Presented by Shan Ren. The talk covered strategies for optimizing a shared ES cluster to serve multiple tenants, achieving high resource utilization.

03. Search Platform Engineering Practices – Presented by Wang Xinbo (Haipai Ke). The speaker recounted the journey of building a new search platform with open‑source Elasticsearch, sharing pitfalls, lessons learned, and a generic solution for search platform construction.

04. Evolution of Youzan's Log Platform Using ES – Presented by Rao Rong (Youzan). The session explained how Youzan evolved its log analysis system to centralize log management, simplify queries, and improve efficiency.

The audience was highly engaged, with lively Q&A sessions that turned the talks into interactive knowledge exchanges. Attendees received technical books and refreshments as rewards for active participation.
