PHP getcwd() – Retrieve Current Working Directory

The getcwd() function in PHP obtains the current working directory.

Return value: On success it returns the directory path as a string; on failure it returns FALSE .

Example:

echo getcwd();
chdir('cvs');
echo getcwd();
?>

Output example:
