Kube-OVN v0.9.0 Release Highlights: Monitoring, Performance, Stability, and New Features

Kube-OVN is an open‑source Kubernetes networking project built on OVN, offering rich enterprise‑grade network functions and easy adoption. Version 0.9.0 adds a monitoring view and resolves many stability‑related issues.
Monitoring: kube-ovn-pinger now monitors apiserver and DNS access quality; kube-ovn-controller message‑queue monitoring is added; Grafana templates are provided for visualizing metrics.
Performance: controller overall throughput increased fivefold by increasing client‑go parallelism, raising resource limits for ovn‑db and ovn‑controller, and merging ovn‑db requests with tuned transaction‑wait parameters.
Stability & Bugfixes: 1) Resolved LB initialization conflicts under multiple kube‑ovn‑controllers; 2) Fixed possible route loss during controller leader switches; 3) Added cleanup of legacy resources during controller startup; 4) Improved QoS accuracy; 5) Changed update strategy to OnDelete for manual upgrade control; 6) Adopted a newer upstream OVN with Kube‑OVN optimizations; 7) Other miscellaneous bug fixes.
Other Improvements: Reduced use of privileged containers; when using nodelocaldns, local DNS traffic is no longer NAT‑ed.
