2022 XOps Industry Ecosystem Summit Overview

The first XOps Industry Ecosystem Summit, co‑hosted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and the China Communications Standards Association, was held on July 28‑29 in Beijing. The event attracted more than 600,000 clicks and interactions.

Theme and Objectives

Under the theme “Intelligent Efficiency Empowerment·Value‑Driven, Co‑building a New XOps Blueprint”, the summit aimed to raise enterprise R&D‑operations capabilities, share XOps system‑building experiences, and promote digital governance across industries.

Opening Remarks and Digital Governance Alliance

Deputy Chairman and Secretary‑General Dai Xiaohui of the China Communications Standards Association opened the summit, emphasizing the importance of standardisation for digital economy development. The CAICT Cloud Computing and Big Data Institute, together with leading enterprises and research institutes, announced the formation of China’s first Digital Governance Alliance (DGA) to foster exchange, resource sharing, and platform building for digital operations.

Assessment Results Release

After the opening ceremony, the summit released the results of several XOps assessments, including the 18th batch of DevOps capability maturity continuous delivery assessments, the 5th batch of DevOps tool assessments, the first batch of AIOps capability assessments, and others. Awards were presented to the selected enterprises.

Keynote Sessions – XOps Main Forum

2022 XOps Top‑10 Keywords – He Baohong, Director of CAICT Cloud Computing and Big Data Institute, analysed major industry trends.

From DevOps to XOps – China Unicom’s Practice – Wang Zhijun, Deputy Director of China Unicom Software Research Institute, described the evolution of DevOps, DevSecOps, AIOps and BizDevOps within the XOps framework.

FinTech R&D Efficiency and Platform Evolution – Shu Zhan, Chief Engineer of CCB FinTech, examined measurement and continuous improvement of R&D efficiency in fintech.

Innovating IT R&D for Value Delivery – Zhu Lihua, Head of Product R&D, China Post Savings Bank, shared end‑to‑end toolchain, continuous delivery, and quality‑safety practices.

AI‑Driven Business Analysis and Digital Quality Control – Gao Rui, Senior Manager, China CITIC Bank, presented a five‑dimensional quality‑control platform integrating AI.

China DevOps Survey Report – Yang Lingling, Director of Audit & Governance, presented findings on domestic DevOps adoption.

Held on the morning of July 29, this forum focused on challenges and best practices in measuring R&D efficiency. Yang Lingling delivered the opening welcome speech.
