IDCF 6th DevOps Case Study Deep Dive – Continuous Operations, Collaborative Development, CI/CD, and Testing
The IDCF 6th DevOps case study event featured four expert groups presenting in‑depth analyses of continuous operations, collaborative development, CI/CD pipelines, and testing practices, highlighting practical insights, tool comparisons, and real‑world case studies that earned the testing team the best‑case award.
On January 24, the IDCF 6th DevOps Case Study Deep Dive was held online, where 31 researchers divided into four groups to explore the themes of continuous operations, collaborative development, CI/CD, and testing.
Continuous Operations : The group integrated ITIL, DevOps, and SRE concepts, explaining continuous deployment, operation, feedback, improvement, and chaos engineering, and emphasized the importance of service‑oriented thinking over product‑only perspectives.
Collaborative Development : This team focused on the entire requirement lifecycle—discovery, analysis, decomposition, stakeholder mapping, impact mapping, and user story mapping—using real company cases to illustrate a practical, end‑to‑end workflow.
CI/CD : The CI/CD group presented a comprehensive view of DevOps pipelines, compared popular CI/CD tools, and highlighted best practices and anti‑patterns for implementing continuous delivery pipelines.
Testing : Starting from the evolution of testing, the group advocated for continuous testing, covering the 5W1H framework, various test types (unit, contract, UI automation, performance, security), metrics, and future directions toward DevSecOps and AI‑driven testing.
The testing group was recognized as the “Best Case Group.” The event underscored the value of deep case research, self‑organization, and continuous improvement within the DevOps community.
