How to Configure BIOS and Create RAID 5 Volumes

Enter the BIOS and select the second option System Settings .

Choose the second item Devices and I/O Ports .

Change the hard‑disk interface mode; if it is already in RAID mode, this step can be skipped.

After modification, save and reboot; if the mode is RAID, a reboot is not required—press y to save and restart.

After reboot, re‑enter BIOS → System Settings → Storage .

Select the first Intel SATA controller .

Choose Create RAID Volume .

Select the RAID level (e.g., RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5) and set the capacity (e.g., 102400 MB = 100 GB) for the first volume, confirming with Enter or Space.

After confirming, the first volume shows a status of Normal , size 100 GB, and RAID 5 mode.

Create a second volume using the remaining space; its capacity cannot be changed. Choose Create Volume .

After creation, the second volume’s status is shown as completed.

The logical volume creation process is now finished.
