On September 18, 2019, the TC608 Cloud Computing Standards and Open Source Promotion Committee held a workshop at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology to discuss the evaluation method of the "DevOps Capability Maturity Model Part 4: Technical Operations" standard. Over 30 DevOps operations experts from leading enterprises participated, thoroughly reviewing and refining the assessment methodology.
Meeting Background
The "DevOps Capability Maturity Model Part 4: Technical Operations" focuses on standardizing technical‑operations capabilities to help enterprises improve DevOps maturity. After numerous online and offline discussions, this meeting examined the final draft of the assessment method, enhancing its completeness and standardization.
The workshop, led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, covered seven modules: monitoring management, capacity and cost management, configuration management, incident and change management, user experience management, high‑availability management, and business continuity management. Experts from Tencent and JD.com presented detailed discussions on specific modules.
Through extensive discussion and iterative revisions, the participants reached consensus and made multiple improvements to the technical‑operations assessment method of the DevOps standard.
