Deployment Architecture of a Government Procurement Cloud Platform Based on the Longxi Operating System
The article details Zhengcaiyun's government procurement cloud platform, its large‑scale deployment architecture built on the Longxi OS, covering cloud‑native design, domestic adaptation, observability, and operational practices that enable high‑performance, secure, and scalable public procurement services.
On November 4, 2022, at the Yunqi Conference Longxi OS Summit, Zhengcaiyun Ltd was recognized as an outstanding partner, and its Technology Assurance Director Mu Jingyuan delivered a keynote titled “Deployment Architecture of a Government Procurement Cloud Platform Based on Longxi OS,” sharing the platform’s domestic adaptation and migration experience.
The Zhengcaiyun platform is a one‑stop cloud service integrating online trading, supervision, and services for government procurement, built on a government‑cloud IaaS layer and offering a PaaS layer for users, goods, orders, and payments, while empowering ISVs through open and developer platforms.
By September 30, 2022, the platform served 230,000 procurement users, 1.2 million suppliers, 66,000 experts, listed 1.6 billion items, covered 1,440 districts nationwide, processed 681.9 billion RMB in transactions in 2021, and operated over 2,000 servers across eight provincial clouds.
Given the platform’s high security and stability requirements and massive transaction volume, it adopted cloud‑native, big‑data, and various middleware technologies; in 2021 it initiated domestic adaptation to mitigate the CentOS end‑of‑life impact, completing online system adaptation and core‑business migration.
During OS selection, the team evaluated compatibility, delivery standardization, and ecosystem vitality; extensive benchmark testing showed Longxi OS’s strong compatibility with existing middleware and business systems, enabling horizontal‑scale migration without service disruption and allowing the creation of proprietary benchmark data, knowledge bases, and toolchains.
To suit the platform’s unique scenarios, an integrated operation architecture was built, comprising a cloud‑native foundation, generic PaaS capabilities, an operation platform for diverse scenarios, and cloud‑edge monitoring and control, supporting agile delivery, CI/CD, and open extensibility for ISVs.
The team also contributed to the CNCF sandbox project Sealer, addressing large‑scale deployment agility and standardization while supporting the domestically adapted Longxi OS, and developed the Nika cloud‑edge control system leveraging Longxi’s new features.
For observability, an OpenTelemetry‑based system was created to collect, store, aggregate, and analyze runtime data for service governance and anomaly detection; the team is exploring eBPF‑based low‑intrusion data collection, benefitting from Longxi’s enhanced eBPF support.
With ongoing community support, Zhengcaiyun aims to accelerate domestic replacement and migration, solidify foundational technologies, and deliver low‑cost, high‑performance, highly available industry solutions.
