On November 4, at the 2022 Yunqi Conference Dragonfly OS summit, Zhengcaiyun Ltd. was recognized as an “Excellent Cooperation Enterprise” of the Dragonfly community. Director Mu Jingyuan of the Technology Assurance Department delivered a keynote titled “Government Procurement Cloud Platform Deployment Architecture Based on Dragonfly,” sharing experiences of domestic adaptation, migration, and the deployment architecture.

The Zhengcaiyun platform is a one‑stop cloud service built under the guidance of regulatory authorities, integrating online trading, supervision and services, covering all government procurement domains and full‑process multi‑user scenarios. It runs on government‑cloud IaaS, provides industry‑wide PaaS covering users, goods, orders, payments, and empowers ISVs via open and developer platforms.

By September 30, 2022, the platform had 230,000 procurement users, 1.2 million supplier users, 66,000 review experts, 1.6 billion listed items, serving 1,440 administrative divisions nationwide; in 2021 it processed transactions worth 6.819 trillion yuan, supported by over 2,000 government‑cloud servers across eight provincial‑level clouds.

Given its business nature, the platform demands high security and stability. Its massive transaction volume leads to a complex architecture that incorporates cloud‑native, big‑data, and various middleware. To meet domestic adaptation needs and mitigate the impact of CentOS end‑of‑life, Zhengcaiyun initiated self‑driven migration in 2021, completing online system adaptation and core‑business migration.

During OS selection, the team evaluated compatibility, delivery standardization, and ecosystem vitality. Benchmark tests showed Dragonfly OS offers strong compatibility with existing middleware and business systems, enabling horizontal scaling migration without affecting services. The platform built its own benchmark data, knowledge base, and toolchain on Dragonfly, benefiting from community support.

To suit the platform’s special scenarios, the team built an integrated operation architecture comprising a cloud‑native foundation, generic PaaS capabilities, and an operation platform that supports diverse scenarios, achieving agile standardized delivery, CI/CD, and cloud‑edge monitoring and control. The architecture also offers open capabilities to empower ISVs.

The team contributed to the CNCF sandbox project Sealer, addressing large‑scale deployment agility and standardization while supporting the domestic Dragonfly OS. The cloud‑edge control system Nika provides multi‑environment, multi‑scenario management, leveraging Dragonfly’s new features.

In the cloud‑native era, observability is essential for data‑driven decisions. Zhengcaiyun built an online observability system based on OpenTelemetry, covering data collection, storage, aggregation, and analysis for service governance and anomaly detection. The team explores eBPF for low‑intrusion data collection, benefiting from Dragonfly’s enhanced eBPF support.

With Dragonfly community support, Zhengcaiyun will accelerate domestic replacement and migration, contributing industry scenarios, solidifying core technical capabilities, and delivering low‑cost, high‑performance, highly available solutions.
