Deploying and Playing Black Myth: Wukong via a Cloud Gaming Service

《Black Myth: Wukong》 is an action RPG based on Chinese mythology. This service bundles the game, the Steam client, and the remote‑desktop tool GameViewer on a cloud host equipped with a high‑end GPU, allowing users to launch the game smoothly after deployment.

Configuration Requirements

The service creation depends on the following resources:

Service Instance Creation

Fill in the required information as shown in the screenshots, click “Buy Now”, and wait for the instance to be deployed. If deployment fails, use the “Redeploy” button or contact support.

After the instance shows as deployed, wait an additional 5‑8 minutes for the internal programs to finish initializing.

In the instance details page, locate the cloud host named Black‑Wukong , click Remote Connection, choose webterminal , and log in with the password set during creation. Note that the large image may cause a delay before the password becomes effective.

Remote Configuration

Log into the cloud host and double‑click Accout.vbs . Uncheck “Users must enter a username and password to use this computer”. Click Apply. Enter the server password and confirm.

After logging in, the Steam login window appears automatically; log in with your Steam account.

On your local PC, open Steam, click “Stream”, copy the authorization code, and paste it into the Steam client on the cloud host to bind the accounts.

Streaming Setup

After pairing, restart the cloud host. Do not reconnect via remote desktop after the restart ; instead, wait for the local Steam client to connect (3‑5 minutes).

In the local Steam client, the button will change to “Streaming”. Double‑click it and wait for the game to load.

When the loading screen appears, wait a moment and the game will start. If it crashes, click “Connect” again.

To stop the game, switch to the local Steam window and click “Stop”. To reconnect, simply click the “Connect” button without restarting the cloud host.

Common Issues

How to delete a service created via the compute factory? Delete the instance from the service list and select “synchronize delete cloud resources”, then confirm deletion in the cloud resource console.

How to save costs during idle periods? Choose “Stop without billing” for the cloud host to release CPU, memory, and GPU while retaining the system disk. Delete the elastic public IP after stopping the host, as it continues to incur charges.

How to restart the game after a break? Restart the cloud host (ensure sufficient resources) and, if needed, purchase and bind a new elastic IP.

What to do if deployment fails? Common reasons include quota limits, insufficient stock, or insufficient balance. Use the “Continue Deploy” button on the failed instance instead of creating a new one.

Streaming connection problems Ensure your router has UPnP enabled. Enable “Remote Play” in Steam settings if the streaming button does not appear. If you see “Not on the same home network”, reboot the cloud host and repeat the streaming steps. When multiple devices are logged into Steam, select the correct cloud host (named “022” on JD Cloud) from the streaming dropdown.
