The 18th China Electronics Information Conference will take place from April 17‑21, 2025 at the Chengdu Airport International Conference Center. The event’s theme is “eSmart,” and it will bring together more than 60 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, host two main forums and over 60 specialized forums, and hold the China Electronics Society Science and Technology Awards ceremony.

On the afternoon of April 18, the special forum “DATA+AI – Data Infrastructure Fusion Innovation for the AI Era” will be launched. Organized by Ant Group with academic support from Tsinghua University’s Computer Department, the forum is co‑chaired by Chinese Academy of Engineering academician Zheng Weimin and Hunan University Vice President Li Kenli. Invited speakers include Zhou Aoying (Professor, Data School, East China Normal University), Lin Yonghua (Deputy Director and Chief Engineer, Beijing Zhiyuan AI Research Institute), Chen Wanguang (Wang Jian‑Zhu Chair Professor, Tsinghua University), and Ant Group OceanBase chief scientist Yang Zhenkun, among other leading scholars and industry figures.

Zheng Weimin – Chinese Academy of Engineering academician and Tsinghua University professor. His research focuses on parallel/distributed processing and large‑scale data storage systems. He has received multiple national science and technology awards and authored over 530 papers and 10 books. Presentation title: “Mooncake System and KTransformers Supporting Large‑Model Inference.”

Li Kenli – Vice President and professor at Hunan University, CCF Fellow, and deputy director of the National Supercomputing Innovation Alliance. His work centers on high‑performance and intelligent computing systems. Presentation title: “Cloud‑Edge Collaborative Real‑Time Intelligent Quality Control and Assisted Diagnosis for Ultrasound Imaging.” Abstract: The talk proposes a unified cloud‑edge architecture for fetal ultrasound imaging, introducing intelligent real‑time plane capture, multimodal parallel processing, and a service platform that improves diagnostic efficiency, accuracy, and standardization.

Yang Zhenkun – Ant Group Vice President and OceanBase Chief Scientist. He holds a Ph.D., has won numerous national science and technology awards, and is a Long‑Term Changjiang Scholar at Peking University. He has filed over 30 patents and led OceanBase to break the Oracle TPC‑C record. Presentation title: “Databases in the Era of Large Models.” Abstract: Discusses how large‑model AI influences relational databases, covering horizontal scaling, multimodal capabilities, cloudification, and agile elasticity.

Chen Wanguang – Wang Jian‑Zhu Chair Professor, Computer Department, Tsinghua University, National Outstanding Youth Fund recipient, and chief scientist of the National Key R&D Program. His research spans parallel and distributed processing and high‑performance computing. Presentation title: “FABS: A Fusion of AI, Big Data, and Scientific Computing.” Abstract: Proposes a unified tensor‑based programming model that integrates AI, big data, and scientific computing, offering a high‑availability, high‑performance, and easy‑to‑program environment for AI‑HPC workloads.

Zhou Aoying – Professor, Data School, East China Normal University. Presentation title: “Re‑recognizing Data and Its Value in the Data‑Intelligent Era.” Abstract: Argues that AI is a data‑driven revolution, urging a new understanding of data as the core driver of the digital transformation and emphasizing the need for new data cognition in the age of intelligent automation.

Lin Yonghua – Deputy Director and Chief Engineer, Beijing Zhiyuan AI Research Institute. Presentation title: “From Large Models to Embodied Intelligence: Open Data as an Innovative Foundation.” Abstract: Highlights the role of open data in building the next generation of embodied AI systems, drawing on two decades of experience in system architecture, cloud computing, and AI.
