Bilibili Releases Four Free Patent Licenses for Big Data Technologies
Bilibili has freely licensed four big-data invention patents—covering precise data reading, cleaning, transmission, and rapid positioning—to foster industry innovation, support the digital ecosystem outlined in China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, and showcase its commitment to open-source big-data solutions.
On October 18, 2022, the "National Intellectual Property International Operation Shanghai Platform" WeChat public account announced that Bilibili has released four authorized invention patents for free open licensing. These patents all belong to the big data field, which is an emerging digital industry category in China's "14th Five-Year Plan" and a crucial technical area for internet companies' development.
Bilibili values the synergistic effect of big data technology on business development and continues to invest in innovation and intellectual property protection in this field. As of now, the company has obtained over 40 authorized invention patents in this technology area. The patents being opened for free licensing cover data accurate reading, precise cleaning, accurate transmission, and quick positioning. Bilibili aims to provide these new solution licenses to promote the inclusive value of technological development, foster innovation across society, and support the common development of the industry ecosystem.
The four patents include: (1) Data Transmission Method and Streaming Data Transmission System (Patent No. ZL202010812508.7, filed August 13, 2020, inventors Zheng Zhisheng and Zhou Huidong) - proposes a streaming data pipeline transmission scheme to isolate different data flows and improve transmission accuracy; (2) Method and Device for Cleaning Cache Dirty Data (Patent No. ZL202010306182.0, filed April 17, 2020, inventor Xu Quanhui) - provides a solution for cleaning cache dirty data in apps based on configuration files to achieve precise cleaning; (3) Monitoring System and Method for Multi-link Real-time Data Stream Transmission (Patent No. ZL201711036916.2, filed October 30, 2017, inventor Ye Qiangsheng) - proposes a minute-level data transmission monitoring scheme for quick problem location and response; (4) Data Access Method and Device (Patent No. ZL201710726054.X, filed August 22, 2017, inventors Qiu Liang and Shi Tuanwei) - proposes a three-tier data access solution combining database, centralized memory cache, and local memory cache to improve data reading efficiency, stability, and accuracy.
