Ant Group's Alipay Smart Assistant and Other AI Applications Featured in the 2024 World AI Conference Case Collection

On July 5, during the "Large Model Renewal and Industry Empowerment" forum at the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) East China Branch, Shanghai AI Lab, and partner enterprises jointly released the 2024 Large Model Typical Demonstration Application Case Collection to showcase advanced, leading, and exemplary cases that promote a thriving large‑model industry ecosystem.

Ant Group, leveraging its Baoling large model, had seven applications selected for the collection: Alipay Smart Assistant, AI Financial Butler, the "Medical Insurance XiaoZhi" based on Baoling, AI R&D Assistant Codefuse, DB‑GPT Data Agent, AI Annotation Agent, and Safe Choice. Gu Jinjie, General Manager of Ant Group’s Large Model Application Department, represented the company at the release ceremony and delivered the keynote speech.

Ant Group believes that professional intelligent agents can solve the critical challenges of applying general large models in rigorous industry scenarios, and is collaborating with partners to build a professional intelligent‑agent ecosystem that accelerates industry adoption.

The Alipay Smart Assistant, highlighted as the first domestic AI life‑assistant for handling affairs, covers dozens of daily scenarios such as dining, travel, ticketing, and entertainment. It not only converses naturally but also performs tasks, built on the Ant Baoling large model with multiple specialized intelligent agents cooperating to deliver intelligent services.

Gu Jinjie explained that as AI moves toward industry co‑creation, the Alipay Smart Assistant will become a platform entry point for the professional intelligent‑agent ecosystem, allowing users to connect with vertical‑industry AI agents in finance, healthcare, and more through a single dialogue.

The Alipay Smart Assistant was also selected as a "Treasure of the Museum" at the conference, an award recognizing cutting‑edge AI technologies and their commercial potential.

Other selected applications demonstrate Ant Group’s exploration of professional intelligent agents for rigorous industry deployment. For example, the AI Financial Butler integrates massive financial knowledge bases and multi‑agent collaboration, achieving a 95% accuracy in financial intent recognition and transforming financial Q&A from mechanical responses to expert‑level interactions.

"A true AI assistant is not just about poetry or painting; it must understand users, get things done, and be reliable," Gu Jinjie emphasized, expressing the goal of achieving an internet‑scale leap for AI through deep connections of professional intelligent agents.
