At the Global Digital Economy Conference, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and the National Engineering Research Center released the 2022 Deep Learning Platform Development Report, which identifies Baidu’s PaddlePaddle as China’s leading deep‑learning framework and empowerment platform, boasting millions of developers, surpassing TensorFlow and PyTorch, and foreseeing a decade of industry‑wide intelligent upgrades.
On July 28, 2022, the Global Digital Economy Conference’s “Artificial Intelligence Driving Future Industries Forum” was held in Beijing. The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) jointly with the National Engineering Research Center for Deep Learning Technology and Applications released the "Deep Learning Platform Development Report (2022)".
The report provides a multi‑dimensional analysis of deep learning platforms and highlights that Baidu’s PaddlePaddle is the leading deep learning framework and empowerment platform in terms of application scale within the Chinese market.
According to the report, as technology, industry, and policy environments mature, artificial intelligence has moved beyond the phase of theoretical accumulation and tool platform construction. The report emphasizes that autonomous, controllable, full‑stack platforms like PaddlePaddle accelerate technology diffusion and industry empowerment in China, forming a crucial part of the domestic ecosystem.
